I have bred horses since the age of 10. I was brought up in a Gypsy wagon, which was passed down to me from my father and i still have this wagon today. This wagon will be passed down to my son and then onto my grandson to keep the family tradition alive and preserve the family history.

My family have always used horses to make there living, even before motor vehicles were invented. The traditions and values have always stayed the same, carrying through the gypsy horses. When gypsy horses were worth nothing and people disregarded them our family has always stood by there traditional values and kept the gypsy horse blood line alive.

My son was brought up in the same traditions as myself. He has been around horses all of his life, gaining great knowledge from my experiences. When he was old enough to pass his test in a car he left the gypsy horses behind and turned to the modern era, however the Gypsy Horses soon won him back and like myself keeping the family traditions alive has now gone on to breeding good English gypsy horses himself.

My grandson Andrew Coltman was a proud owner of his first foal from being born. He has since bred from his foal from daughter to grand daughter. This is known as the the COLTMAN STUD                                      This is myself and my grandson on the road to Appleby in 2002. As you can see it is still a family affair.
